UrbanWritten Bookstore Terms & Conditions

Your purchases are subject to the following terms and conditions (unless you have made special arrangements directly with UrbanWritten). These may change from time to time.

Shipping

UrbanWritten provides shipping by United States Postal Service (USPS) through Media Mail which allows a minimum time of 2-9 business days. If an order is on backorder at the time of your purchase you will be notified by us. Combined shipping is optional for anyone who would like a cheaper rate, to utilize this option send an e-mail to customerservice@urbanwritten.net.

Pricing

Prices are as stated on UrbanWritten and are subject to change without notice.  Shipping prices are included within the list price for our book selections.

Payment

UrbanWritten accepts credit card payments through Paypal. You DO NOT need to have a Paypal account to make a payment to us through them. We also accept money orders/bank checks; however we do not accept personal checks. Send money orders/bank checks to the following below:

Paperback and Hardcover Versions of Books

 UrbanWritten reserves the right to provide a paperback version if no hardcovers are available for a title ordered, the customer will then, pay the paperback price in this scenario.
 If a paperback version is ordered, but is not available, the customer will receive the hardback version at the paperback price.

Cancellation and/or Returns

 If for any reason you need to cancel or revise your order, contact customerservice@urbanwritten.net.  In the case of a product being damaged or incorrect, simply return it to us within 7 days from the date of purchase (but no later) and; at your option, we will issue a full refund for the price of the item, a gift certificate for your next purchase or supply you with a replacement title. If the return is the result of our error we will also refund the postage (where applicable).  Please enclose either a copy of the paper invoice enclosed with your order, or have a printed receipt from your date of purchase. If returning, the package should be securely wrapped and sent to:

Correctional Facility/Prison Orders

UrbanWritten will ship to any correctional facility/prison; however we are NOT responsible for shipment to prisons that DO NOT accept orders from Internet Vendors. If this is the case, they will only accept shipment through the publisher themselves, or an official storefront. If you are purchasing for an inmate, it is extremely important for you to include the following information with your order: The inmates’ full name, address, identification number, dorm number, or bed number. If it is claimed that your order wasn’t received by the inmate due to these rules of that facility, UrbanWritten must receive the product returned, undamaged in order for us to provide you a refund in FULL. 10% will be taken off your refund price for damaged books that are returned from the specified correctional facilities.
